I'm selling a PS3 on Ebay. It says economical shipping, but it also says ships to U.S. I'm not sure if that means I'm shipping world wide or just U.S. Also, my item was bought, BUT from someone in Egypt.. who has only bought 2 items. Now here's the other thing, it says payment in pending. What does that mean? Does that mean I have not they just bought it and didn't pay? Please answer so I know what to message them. They messaged me preferring the package they want, and I'm thinking of replying "sure thing, until I get the payment." Not sure what to do, also the fact that it's in Egypt?
*does that mean I have not been paid, and they bought the item just didn't pay?

Are they a possible scammer?

If it says payment pending you have not been paid yet.

This doesn't mean they are definitely a scammer, but I would message them and let them know that you will not be shipping the package until you receive the complete payment.

For shipping to Egypt, you can use the United States Post Office. Using their online calculator I found it would cost you $78 to send it via a Priority Mail® International Large Flat Rate Box. That would take 6-10 days to arrive.

if you specifically selected that you would NOT ship out of the country, then you don't have to honor the auction, you can go through ebay to cancel it if you feel that it's a fraud.

if you put a shipping calculator on the auction, it's more than likely wrong unless YOU set it up correctly. it could easily cost a few hundred dollars to ship it. if it says something like $15, it's drastically wrong. btw, UPS is WAY more expensive than USPS to ship out of country.

i rarely EVER send things out of the country without talking to the person first, putting in the auction specifically "shipping calculator is probably wrong, buyer will be given the full shipping cost at the end of auction" or something along those lines but more professional sounding; that way you can take the box to the post office / ups, whatever and get a quote and say 'ok it's going to be $150 to ship it to you so pay up'.

and i always get the INITIAL payment before wasting my time taking it to the post office to get a quote.

wish i could be more specific and help you a little more than i can, but.. i really cant. good luck. be careful
