Why is Pop/Rap/Dubstep music advertised so much to the public?

I dont get it, Rap & Hip hop music is being advertised everywhere nowadays. tv, Youtube, Facebook, myspace, movies, etc. why is it being pushed onto society so much?

Websites, movies, social networking sites, tv, radio all market to teenagers and adult young adults, and that is the music that appeals and is marketed toward them as well.

It's a huge demographic and big businesses know they can cash in on them, by advertising to them.
