Why isn't my business website ranking in google?

I have a business website online for the past year now and it is virtually unfindable. The website is http://www.localblinds.ie and I am trying to rank for my main keyword "Local Blinds" in google.ie (Ireland). The website does not appear on the first page, 2nd, page or even the 3rd or 4th page but does appear somewhere on the 6th page.

Yelp and yalwa give me a link on page 2.

Surely it is my site that should be ranking on the 1st page not a secondary link.?

A blinds company that has virtually gone out of business ie gola blinds ranks higher and a boards ie comment from 2009 is on the 1st page.
Clearly something is not right here.?

First things first if you ranked 1 for local blinds I am not certain you would get much traffic. What you need to do is build your traffic over a broad range of blind related keywords. The key is to get links from loosely related industries gradually over time and to write articles on the subject and submit to article directory. Obviously don't do things to upset google.

Hi there what i would suggest is to go to the link below, create your business page, and you will be surprised at how fast your website will be on the 1st page of Google, make sure you target the different keywords you want people to find the site.
Make use of Google's keyword planner and see what people are searching for in your particular niche.
