Help! safari quiting unexpectedly?

I have a 2009 Imac and safari keeps on quiting on me and im not sure why!
Please help.

Do this....
– Quit all apps.
– Press shift command G
– Type
~Library
and Press Return.
– Rename the "Safari" folder to "Safari-old".
– Press shift command G
– Type
~Library/Preferences
and Press Return.
– Trash the file called "com.apple.safari.plist"
