I really want to make music i know i can do it. but every time i listen to someones song on Facebook or Youtube its sounds so terrible and then when i listen to someone like drake even if the lyrics suck its sounds great and catchy and has like 30 million views i have heard of people who are a thousand times more creative and talented than people like lil wayne but because their song sound kinda cheap and home made nobody really gives a fuck about them and i don't want to end up like one of the those guys.

how should i go about making music and advertising it so i dont look like another broke thirsty artist

They have top dollar recording booths/microphones. Think about it they are all rich they could buy Lamborghinis with their pocket change. Also, they will do it over and over until it sounds perfect and after that it even gets edited.

if those famous folks recorded with a webcam and did no editing, they would sound far less sparkly.

what you are hearing is production quality.
quiet room, good mics, good software, compression, EQ, and people who know how to use all that.
it is expensive.
it took a lot of people to make them sound like that.

but as an acoustic musician, i think a lot of them overdo it.
theres something more honest about leaving the edges rough instead of polishing everything clean all the time...

i suppose... you can do better than a lot of the youtubers just by learning what automatic gain control is!
basically, if the thing you are recording music on has nowhere to set an input level, it is setting that level automatically for you, turning it down when things are loud, turning it up when they are quiet.
this is great when you are just doing some informal point and shoot and just want to get everything without it being too quiet or distorted. its a feature people WANT in easy-to-use cameras....
... but for music, its the worst! no contrast, no dynamics, and hiss filling in any breaks.

also the built in mics in computers are not good quality for recording music, and the sound cards may not support high resolution audio.

its not that difficult to get a starter package for something better.
here's a popular vocal mic, with a usb interface that will convert to a high res signal:

for audio software, eventually you want to be using something like protools, but you can get a lot done with audacity, which is completely free. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

you still have to learn to use that stuff properly. there are lots of tutorials out there, some better than others of course.
but remember "audio engineer" is a real job title. you can't expect to sound like a professional overnight.
if you take the time to learn some things, you will get a better result than the people you aren't impressed by.
...
.....
.......
or... you know... just save up a bunch of money, book a studio, and hire a producer and engineer.
