My internet connection cuts out?
When on the internet at seemingly random points my internet will cut out for 30 seconds up to 2-3 minutes. It happens maybe once or twice an hour, and usually when I am playing "League of legends" while someone else is watching netflix, or while a ton of people are using the internet. My father says it might be the "radio controller" or something like that (he says it is old) but I would seriously like to find out. It pisses me off when I'm doing something and it stops working. We use shaw, if that means anything, and it is wireless internet.

Call your internet service provider, they will look into the issue for you. It could be because you have an old router, your ISP would most likely upgrade it for you for free if it's deemed that the router is the issue.

Also, if you're connected using WIFI, make sure your signal is good. Watch your signal bars, if they drop periodically, that means your wifi dongle is not getting good reception so it's faulty. You can get one for cheap, and make sure you get one with extra range like a "hi-gain" wifi adapter.

You should run a speedtest to see if you internet connection speeds are good enough for smooth online gameplay. go to speedtest.net and run the test. Your ping should be under 100, download speed anywhere around 15 mbps or above is fine.

Also, streaming takes a lot of bandwidth. So when people are streaming Netflix, it might slow down your internet speed enough that you disconnect from a game periodically. If that's the case, consider upgrading your internet speeds.
