Why can't I download anything from the internet?

Every time I try to download from the internet it says it failed. It doesn't say that it failed at the start of the download nor at the end when the download finishes. Now I can only download files from bittorent, but I don't want to. For example, when I try to download a picture from google I can't because I can't download anything from the internet except with bittorrent. Please help!!!!
I'm using Google Chrome. I have internet connection but every time i download some file it says that is failed. And don't tell me to download something to solve my problem cuz i can't download anything!

first uninstall ur browser and then re install.
If it dont work,
get eagleget downloader.
Or instll updated browser.
At last u should reinstall windows if these dont do

you have to check following things that may be responsible for your problem.
the path you follow to store data have not more free space
your connection is slow and more fluctuation in speed.
the file you are downloading, may be broken and source is not good.
problem in your browser.
any virus that effects your downloading software.
SOLUTION RESPECTIVELY
change the save path or make fee space in default path.
improve your internet speed
find some other trusted source to download and confirm that file should not be broken
change your browser, use Mozilla or IE or reinstall or Upgrade your present browser
use anti-virus and make sure that no virus or malware is present in your system

you should download some software like DAP, IDM etc to download in more speed in slow connection without breaking or disconnecting of internet connection because the provide resume function.

you can do one thing you cna go to http://www.google.com/chrome using chrome browser then click on download again anad again then it can download chrome.setup.exe then your net will take spped up
