How do I get my website up?
I have all of my images and pages uploaded to fireftp, and I have a fireftp account and host. Where do I go from here-How do I get my website on the internet and with it's name?

No, you don't have your files uploaded to FireFTP. As best i can tell, Fire FTP is a file transfer extension for Firefox (and one that I may have to look into). What you need next is a web host. A good free one is 000webhost.com. you sign up for an account. You then follow their very good step by step instructions for gaining FTP access to your account and moving your files up to their server.

You can also go to Namecheap or Godaddy.com and get a domain name for your web site as well.

If you use cpanel you can just use Fantistico. From there, use the Wordpress script to create a blog. There are also other services via Fantisico as well within cpanel.

If, however, you are using a static website then you need a html editor like Kompozer to create your website.

Simple Steps
1. buy a domain
2. buy hosting
3. connect domain to hosting
4. set up FTP
5. Upload your website files or..
6. Set up Wordpress using your hosting's cpanel (fantastico feature)
7. Login to your Wordpress admin panel
8. Configure everything (all parts of your site) You get to control everything with all the themes, plugins and basic functionality utilized correctly.
9. Your site becomes live to the world
