Okay so I have "met" this person of the opposite on social media and need some advce?

I was wondering if there was any way I could find out if he is who he says his by looking on the web somewhere?

I talk to guys I meet over the internet often, to find if they are who they say they are, I tell him to send me a picture holding up a paper that says my name, an i do the same so he will know I am who I say I am. If he doesn't want to do it, say okay, try again later, if he doesn't send it then either, he's not who he says he is. I hope I help!
