How do i know if someone sent me a direct message on twitter ?

i've been trying to look at my messages on twitter , and when i look at them , i dont know if their for me ? like its kinda hard to explain ?

Like they send a notification to your e-mail.

1. Check your email account.
2. Log-in to your Twitter > Go to "Messages" tab > Inbox
3. You can also set-up a mobile alert to send you notifications
