What are some good fundraiser ideas?

I am the president of the Senior Trip Committee of my school, and I am having a hard time trying to find effective fundraisers for my class to use. Currently, we have no money because we are starting from scratch. I do not think that my school is going to be helpful in our endeavor. I, along with several of my friends, are willing to put forth the money to start a fundraiser, but I do not want to invest into a fundraiser that is going to be a bust in the end. Keep in mind that we are high school students, so it is going to be extremely hard for us to use our charm. We are planning on going to Louisiana in the summer of 2015. We have 2 years, but I want to at least get something done this year to set us up for the upcoming year. Please, any idea will help!
