When i type my IP address into URL bar, Nothing Happens?

So recently whenever i type my IP address into my URL bar on Chrome, nothing happens? I wanted to change something, i have been doing this for so long but just recently i've had problems...Why is this...I am 100% sure its the right IP as i have been doing this for almost 1 year..I have tried 4 browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Opera) i also tried doing it from my phone and from my dad's laptop

Type your router's IP address to change settings, not the external nor the internal IP address assigned to your devices.

if you mean you want to access the router menu, then you must use a LAN cable connected pc.
using a phone wont work
or a wireless pc either

most routers also have a named login like
http://www.routerlogin.net

if you tell us the make/model of router we can tell you what to type.
