How to get rid of ads that are randomly showing up.?

I downloaded a software yesterday and before i could install it it asked me if i wanted additional software. There were alot i had to decline but i accidentally agreed to one and now there are these ads that pop up either on the sides of the page or the middle. ( They aren't the normal webpage ads) I thought id find it in extensions but there weren't any there. Im using Google Chrome.

you could reinstall or get a browser extension called add block plus
