How can I advertise my youtube channel?

I don't want to go writing in other video comments I'm trying to find a more legitimate way to advertise.

Be sure to push your channel out through social media channels. Promote it on Facebook, Twitter, your own website and even in your signature line. All of the answers below are great. But I think the best social media to promote your video is still youtube itself. Yeah you can post it on your facebook but how many of the people will actually watch your video? They will probably be like " oh look at video" and scroll down.

Anyway yeah youtube is the best social media to promote because well.. its youtube. They are already watching video another one couldn't hurt.

You should advertise your video on youtube but don't be to straight forward. Lets say you are a Gamer.

Don't go to a video and say like " Hey check me out I do CoD trick shot and funny montage and all the good stuff with tips and tricks!!"

What you should do is kind of hint it in there. "Nice video and tips! That kill at X:XX is amazing. I also make CoD videos and tips and tricks!" something something something. Just don't be to straight forward.

Remember to add what you do, what your channel consist of, and why they should check you out.
