What is the best and cheapest website in the UK for recording a blog?

I want to start writing a blog, I don't know which website would offer me what I want and be free or cheap. I want to simply right a blog, preferably I could include some pictures, it would be good if there was a password so that only people I want to access can. Any ideas? Also it might be good to have a popular one so that anyone I meet could potentially have access if I gave them the password.

I googled free blogging sites to get Wordpress link and to my surprise the company I use for my paid for website came out top.

Wordpress is the blogging people you should use to do it all totally free.

They have lots of free templates, however read their terms and conditions because you are restricted as to what you can post, it probably won't affect you but check anyway.

This is Weebly who are by far the easiest people to set up a blog with that looks really professional, however you are restricted to 6 pages for free which sounds like it would be enough for you.
