can you view the history from an ipod app?

if you use the browser/safari and visit a page, you can view the pages which have been visited.
but if you're using, say the facebook or tumblr app, can you view everything that has been viewed/searched using the app because i cant seem to find anyway how.

depends on the app really, the makers have to put the option into it, history is more suited on a browser but not on facebook for a reason, facebook doesnt need it, but yeh it depends
