Canceling a sell on Ebay?
Hi, I put up a painting that has been in our family for a long while. It was given to me so I assumed I could sell it. Well my mother asked if I could not sell it and I said I wouldn't. The one bidder is kinda being an ass. I let him know hours before the auction ended. He's saying things like I'll be banned, and he'll be banned. I'm new at Ebay so I followed the Resolution Center Rules as to how to cancel. I just wanted to make sure from other more experienced buyers and sellers that I did everything right and this will be all on me and nothing will happen to the buyer?
Wow! Cool down buddy! He didn't pay and Ebay has this very option of canceling for a reason. He doesn't have to follow through never said he did. My question was to seasoned sellers, did I do everything right and did I follow the rules to canceling right? I should also mention that, he suggested, I lie and say he paid, and I shipped and he'll leave me a good review. That's not right is it?

The bidder "is kinda being an ***" for expecting you to follow through with the legally binding contract YOU posted? You'd better adjust your attitude if you want to continue to sell on eBay.

The buyer is under no obligation to accept your cancellation request, and I wouldn't if I was him. You don't deserve to get your FVF fees back.

No one can force you to sell. If he paid, refund. But he can still give you a well-deserved neg and trash your DSRs.
