I want to start selling MY products online?

I want to start selling things such as shoes customized and what not on the internet. I want to be able to have shoes you can choose to buy or customize your own. Along with phone cases, shirts, and shorts etc... These would be products I would be making and I was wondering if there are any regulations on it? Any tips? ANY INFORMATION FURTHER ON THIS THAT I NEED TO KNOW

At the very least do a "poor man's patent", that is to say, put your ideas on paper and mail them to yourself. Send several copies of your ideas. The reason being is that you can prove in a court of law that these are your ideas with sealed dated documentation. If you do several ideas, just put a simplistic description on the back of the envelope.
