Don't know were your data comes from, here's a collection of 60 blogs that were sharing their specific revenue sources and earning figures a couple of years ago.

Search engines like sites with regular content updates, it's easier to add content to blogs, which tend to be content intensive. Wordpress sites do tend to load more slowly on crappy shared hosts than simpler 'static' sites. Even just a 5 second load time was found to cause some test case a 30% bounce rate, other than that I don't see that much of a strategic advantage of one over the other. Some 17% of the top 1 Million sites are reportedly Wordpress based, someone is doing well.
If your considering the earning of eCommerce sites and mega sites like Facebook or Amazon, obviously a Blog platform makes no sense.

With blog you can set Google Authorship Tag, but with website you cannot. Actually websites are divided to information websites, company websites, blogs

I would say it depends on your content and the conversion.... then it does not matter if you have a blog or a webpage....
Agree on that you should update your content on a regular basis and this is easier with blogs....
I anyway would use the wordpress software, this is famous as a blogger software but can also be used for static webpages... it has good SEO tools and lots of other stuff, and is for FREE. Download it and use it for your blog/webpage.

Blog or website... They can both make a generous income, but it takes traffic to generate more money faster. Try some high page rank backlinks to your pages.
I found one website to be very helpful in generating traffic through high page rank backlinks.
HigherMyPageRank.com is a great service, I highly recommend it.
