How to convince my paretns for a facebook?

i need to convince my parents to let me get a facebook, they are SOO uptight, i just wanna have one to put up pictures and talk to friends...but thats just not enough. got anything?

Well, I've been in the same situation, I'm 11. I've made a bebo, a pretty popular website along with a Myspace which I'm very close to deleting. I was only allowed to have a Myspace because my mom had one but here are the easy steps I use to get anything I need or would like to have.

1. Sit down with your parents and say "This is asking alot from you but I would like to have my own Facebook membership".

2. Then, you simply name the things you will do with it and thats it.

you could try using flickr or picasa for your photo sharing as they are geared towards that. You could talk to friends over other instant messengers.
OTOH, how about inviting your parents to facebook and letting them have a look at what exactly you do on facebook. I'm sure they'll find nothing that they can complain about.

i just went behind thier back. and used facebook at my friend's houses. then i had family and friends tell my parents how cool and fun facebook is. then i found out that my mom was convinced and she got a facebook. and then someone spilled the beans that i had one. but she was cool with it because she now realized how fun it was. my dad also liked it because i can give his business free advertising on facebook. he still wont get one. but through my account i have done all sorts of advertising for his business.
