I wonder if when I create a Facebook page it becomes immediately visible. I'm not asking if it is possible to "unpublish the page", I'm wondering if the page is online as soon as it is created.

yes, but until you add some friends or information (school job location etc.) It will be practically impossible for anybody to find you.

Yes, as soon as you create a Facebook Page it becomes immediately visible, first to friends. It takes some time to appear in the 'Facebook Search Box' to everyone.

Hope This Helps!

As what they've answered, it will be alive immediately but not really visible. It will become visible when you start sharing it with your friends.
