Just as posts you send out to your network of Facebook friends from your personal profile reach more people the more friends you have, the number of fans of your Facebook fan page directly relates to the impact of messages you send out. Take advantage of several pathways, both those that involve Facebook and other means, to increase the number of fans who view your Facebook fan page.

Difficulty:Moderately EasyInstructions

1
Post compelling, singular messages from your fan pages, attaching links to Web pages and multimedia whenever possible. Interesting posts not only entice existing fans to pay more attention to your page, but also increase the likelihood of your fans sharing posts you make with their Facebook networks.

2
Copy your page URL to your computer's clipboard. Return to the main Facebook news feed page; click the "Link" button and paste the URL into the box that opens. Click the "Attach" button and type in a short message explaining the page to your Facebook friends. Click "Share" to share it with your personal Facebook friends. Not all of your Facebook friends follow updates you send through your fan page, but advertising your page periodically increases the chances more will become fans.

3
Cross-reference other pages you've "Liked" when making posts on your page. For example, if you post a blog entry you've made about dalmatians, click the "Like" button for "Dalmatians" on Facebook. When explaining the link, type the "@" key before the word "dalmatians" to insert a link to its Facebook page in your post. Doing so places your post on the wall for "Dalmatians," directing all who visit that page to your Facebook fan page.

4
Promote your page using other social networks, such as Twitter. Exposing your page to an audience that doesn't know it exists introduces the page as a fresh, new idea to potential audience members.

5
Click "Advertising" at the bottom of Facebook to promote your fan page with an ad. Once you do so, Facebook users see links to your page in the Facebook sidebar.
