Putting things for sale on eBay shouldn't cost you anything. If the item sells, you might have to pay for delivery unless you charge the buyer for that.

Hi
yes. As a regular seller (someone who doesn't have an eBay store) you get to list 50 items on ebay for free, so no insertion fee after that you pay with regard to your selling price which can be from $0.05 to a couple of bucks. After your item is sold you are charged a final value fee which is usually around 10% of the selling price. So if you sell something for $100, ebay gets $10. You also have to pay for shipping which you can charge your buyer or add the shipping cost to the listing value and offer free shipping. Also when you get paid with PayPal, they also charge you 2-3% of the final selling price plus $0.30 each transaction. So if you sell something for $100 you will pay $10 to eBay, $2.30-3.30 to PayPal. Hope this helps Good luck |

contrary to what another user here is saying, there is in fact a 50 cent listing fee on ebay, unless you list the item as an auction. they are in the middle of a promotion that lasts until the end of september where you can list for free, but that'll be over soon.
there is a 10% fee on the amount your item sold for ($8 selling price= $0.80 fee). uploading photos of the item is free for the first 12, but to add more than 12 photos, it'll cost you. if you choose to pay for what's called an ebay store, it'll cost you like $30 a month, but you don't have to have a store, you can just sell on ebay without one. ebay stores are really only for high volume sellers, not the casual seller (for more on what the advantage is intended to be of owning an ebay store, go here: http://www.ebay.com/gds/Benefits-of-havi...16/g.html) and if you get paid through paypal for your ebay item, there'll be the usual 2.9% + 30 cents fee that paypal charges. |
