Russia is trending on Twitter & the news are saying ''Russia will pay the consequences if they intervene in the Ukraine'' & it already did! People are saying it's the Cold War ll & others say it's the beginning of WW3,can somebody plz explain the whole Ukraine,US,Russia thing. Thx in advance.

No there will not be a war between Russia and the US, Russia couldn't take them on, they simply do not have the power they used to.

This is the most dangerous crisis since the end of the Cold War. Is there "GOING" to be a war? It is too early to tell. COULD there be a war? Unfortunately it seems more likely than not at the moment. The fact that Obama is a wuss, and Putin will not take his warning seriously makes for a VERY dangerous situation, and World War III could be a reality by the end of next week.

The consequences will probably just be the trade deal being currently negotiated. The Russian actions in Crimea are within previous long standing agreements with the Ukrainian government and is in an area that is ethnically Russian and is very much pro-Russian. It was not an invasion but a definite reminder that they have a presence and they have areas of public support within Ukraine. The most likely result would be a division between Ukraine and Crimea and continued economic upheavals in Ukraine as the west only offers a portion of the financial assistance that the Russians offered.
