Facebook friend request pending for months?

I sent someone a friend request almost 5 or 6 months ago, but it is still pending. Let's call the person X. X changed their picture since then, so is this a glitch in Facebook?

Also, if I look at Y's page (Y is friends with X, but NOT friends with me), it says that Y and I have X as a mutual friend. How could Y and I have X as a mutual friend if the friend request I sent to X is still pending? (Please pay attention--I am NOT friends with Y.)

Is this a Facebook error?

Its not a glitch they ither havent checked there friend requsts which is most likely what happend or they dont like you haha. I allways forget to check my request and have left some people sitting there for a whole year!

the person just didnt want to approve your request, or they forgot, it's not a glitch

not everyone accepts all friend requests because adding people you dont actually know in real life can be dangerous

I had some friend request sent to me but I accept certain ppl and other I don't cuz I mainly don't like them or other reason so yah it really isn't actually a glitch, beside I don't use fagbook anymore.

Its not a glitch, its simply means he/she doesnt accepted your request
