Are you bovered???

Honestly? I ignore advertising - so long as it doesn't have an annoying sound track with it - like that crazy frog thing from a few years ago.

I don't know how you found yourself in this location on the world wide web but i must advise you now to leave and hand yourself in to the local institution - everything is going to be just fine.

I detest advertising - it has got far too prolific to the extent that it ceases to be as effective as it would be if it were limited. I would love to ban all advertising, but without the revenue from it, we would not have fewer TV channels and the internet would likely collapse, because no one would fund sites like the one we are using at the moment.

if we got rid of tv adverts, how would ITV survive, it gets its funding for its programmes from advertising, sky tv gets most of its revenue from advertising.

The same applies for independent radio.

Then there is the all jobs in advertising that would be lost.

Companies advertise to increase sales, no company would pay for advertising if it was not going to have an inpact on sales.

How about more ads and less tv licence - even more so today as if you want to watch something on TV with todays tech pause it for a while make something to eat sit down watch whatever it is you want to watch and fastforward through the ads
