How to improve my download speed?
At the moment on task manager it shows my Ethernet running a 5MB/S, However when downloading something its at 500KB/S... Are these speeds supposed to be completely different or is there something wrong?
Also, my router is connected to my PC via Ethernet cable not wireless. Ads |

You probably connect to internet with a router, you should see the speed on that.

Speedtest.net will show you your connection speed. That's how much you are capable of receiving. Downloading is dependant on how much the provider of the information is pushing out to you, which is out of your hands. If you're capping out on your side buy a better connection. If you're torrenting, find a better torrent file with more seeders. If you're downloading from a website, tough cookies as they will not upgrade their upload capabilities for you.
