How to get "fans" for my writing?
I'm fifteen years old and really ever since I was in fourth grade, I've known that I want to be a successful writer. I wrote short little stories then and read them to all my friends, and now that I'm older, I post a lot of my writings online. I write fanfiction because it's a huge base of people with a mutual passion for something (either the real series or the spin offs of them), and I've been getting a lot of response on my latest stories.

I feel like I'm slowly starting to get somewhere with it. I've had a few people in school come and tell me that they love it, and I reached one hundred reviews by about chapter three or four. But now that I feel like I'm starting to get somewhere with my writing, I feel like I need to get "fans" who support my work. I don't want to come off as arrogent by making a facebook page for myself - I have a twitter and tumblr, though.

It's not just fanfiction that I write for. I write for myself, and a lot of those end up on my blog. I also post stories on Figment. Most of my things are long works, though I do have quite a lot of poetry and short stories as well. (:

Does anyone have any suggestions for building a stronger fanbase for my writing? Thank you so much!

Don't promote your sites on YA! -- it's annoying. To get more fans, you need to suck-up to other writers on those sites. The more attention you pay to strangers, the more likely they are to give YOUR materials attention. And if they like you work, you'll get fans.

I suggest posting your writings to http://www.onparables.com/story.php
You can get it commented and rated by other members. Some people on there have got their writings published, so you can also read other works as inspiration for your work as well.

Do what most writers do- write and try to get a publisher to buy it. If you want to self-publish, I get it. But if you want to be a novelist, you need to spend more time writing.
