What do all these Facebook pages win with 'likes'?

I often see many of my friends are liking pictures of pages that ask them to do so if they liked the picture or many other reasons. Happens these pages have pictures with thousands or millions of likes and they keep asking for more likes. Are they making money out of this? If so how?
