How to get noticed on tumblr?

I've had a tumble for a decent time now but I only have 1 follower and I follow a bunch of people no one follows back and I don't know what to do can you guys go to my profile and see what I'm doing wrong? Italianvenom.tumblr.com

It appears that you have a large range of photos with many not being related to each other. You should try and keep to one subject, for example: cars, airplanes, nature, etc. By doing this you are targeting a particular audience. It is extremely hard to offer pictures for every person on one website/Tumblr.

Once you have found the subject that interests you and will interest others tell your friends about it, perhaps post a status on Facebook, Twitter or any other social networking site as this generally gain large audiences. You can also try promoting it on YouTube. Create a cool video that will attract people and I am sure you will get more views and eventually followers.

Well first of all you need to change your theme, you have the standard theme that Tumblr provides when you first sign up. Do not use colors like red or blue or green, instead use white or black (for your background). Try not to post pictures of the same thing. Post something and use a lot of hashtags! I posted something a little over a year ago and it has 21,000+ notes.
That's all. It takes some time to gain followers, I mean I have had one for 4 years and have 620 followers.

You change your theme by going on the customize section when you are on your blog. Search Google for Tumblr themes, then copy and paste the code in the HTML section.
