if I take my dsl wire out of my dsl internet box will the internet stop working?
or is my dsl wireless? there is no phone # associated with my dsl, why is that wire connected to phone jack line looking thing

It will stop working. DSL is by definition a wired connection which uses a telephone line.

If you can connect wirelessly, it&#x27;s because the DSL box is sending the wireless signal. It gets the internet from the DSL cable then sends it wirelessly throughout your home. So if you take the cable out, the internet will go with it.

DSL without a phone number is called &quot;naked DSL&quot;. It still uses a phone line but you don&#x27;t need an account for the phone.

The setup you have now is probably decent. If you are after true wireless, try searching for &quot;wireless broadband&quot; in your area.
