Same AdWords Conversion Tracking on Multiple Thank-you Pages?
I have three different thank-you pages for three different versions of a product. Should I create three separate conversion tracking codes, or just use the same tracking code for all three thank-you pages?

Why do you have 3 different Thank You pages? You possibly mean you have 3 different funnels starting from 3 different Landing Pages, is it?
If yes, the best way to test 3 different landing pages pages is by using custom funnels in Google Analytics, all funnels can converge on the same TY page with a single conversion code. This will allow you to check overall Adwords performance, and by campaigns (example - you have campaign 1 pointed at Landing Page 1, campaign 2 at LP 2...) which will let you see which funnel is performing best. However, Analytics will not only let you see which funnel is performing best/ worst but also show you how specific pages of each funnel are performing. Example - You could possibly discover that only 25% of visitors who land on LP1 move to the next stage of the funnel, whereas 37% do so on LP2. Hope that answered your question? Ads |

You can use different adwords conversion tracking but it will give you marginal benefit. Adwords conversion tracking doesn't provide any detailed user behaviour so most cases you would not do any tracking within adwords. All the bouce rate analysis and other metrics like goal type tracking etc will be done in analytics.
You can just create one adwords conversion tracking called "lead" and use it across the board. Depending on how you structured the campaign you can just tell which type of conversion it was based on which ad group triggered it. |
