Why are there so many potheads on the internet?

I am personally pro legalization of marijuana, but I find it surprising that the internet seems to be chock full of people who smoke it. Everywhere I go, it sounds like at least 70% smoke it all the time. Why is that?

Almost everyone is on the internet, and it brings you closer to everyone. You probably don't normally hand out with them irl... People are more open on the internet

Because contrary to popular conventional wisdom, most stoners like access to news and information as well as entertainment online, just like non-users! Fact is, we're no different from you, that's why we're online too. And most of america smokes the herb, the internet is only one small indicator of how widespread actual cannabis use is. Plus it's fun to get high and go online.
