Starting up a website!?
I'm wanting to start up a website which has a couple of forum pages on them to encourage a sort of conversation between readers. I was wondering how to do this as I know how to set up a website but how would I include a forum on it or a chat page? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

There are free forum sites out there which you could use to start off and have link on your main site which takes people to the forum. If it takes off then you can upgrade and incorporate the forum into your site.
freeforums.org is one I know of.
You can tailor the forum to suit your sites theme etc and set up different discussion areas.
On your main page just have a link <Forum> (or whatever you plan to call it) and people can click through just as they would if it was actually part of your site.

It may require some coding skills I think. Do you possess such skills?

The first though is to see your skill for shaping a layout of your website with your knowledge in the IT skills.

Draw any draft by telling you the representation of your forum, any subject, any category ... etc.
Draw any website draft with the specifications and the technology used for.
Following your degree into its project, you can evaluate the liability to do any part of your website in term of difficulty, to see if you need a certain number of partners with some skills.

Each difficulty has to be clarified for drawing your website in detail without any missing detail to complete with your project.

Good luck.
