Help with setting up UK Ebay Account?

I know this is random and weird but theres this dress i REALLY want on ebay but the seller wont ship outside UK

Im in the US

I thought i had it figured out asking my friend who lives in reading for her address to ship it to, then have it shipped to me from her house

except ebay wants me to verify the UK address with a UK phone # (enter texted pin code to verify)

my friend is offline and i dk if shell get my message before the auction ends

anyone know of a text app for a uk number???

or... i know its a long shot but could i put in someones number and have them give me the pin code?

Why don't you just ask the seller if they would send it to a UK address so it can be forwarded on. They just might do it.
