what do i need to do to get faster internet?

Sometimes it works okay but most times in my room way across the house it takes forever to get somewhere online and even the netflix on my ps3 takes time to load. I just bought a jailbroken apple tv so i dont know if ill need a faster modem or a better router or should i just go buy the extreme internet from timewarner.
I go through time warner cable because where i live that is the only thing to use other then dish which is expensive, but i have the modem they gave me and pay for turbo internet and a netgear router i purchased through groupon.

It's probably just you're internet provider or your router, try ringing the modem/routers manufacturer to see if you need an upgrade. If you don't need an upgrade then ring up your internet provider and ask them for assistance. Their assistance is always helpful to me

Connect an Ethernet cable
Routerlogin for Netgear’s Router Login setting by
