When you watch a movie on an iPads browser, does it download?

Hey guys,

When I'm watching a stream or a video, or movies on a website using my iPads browser, does the ipad automatically somehow download the file as I watch it? I'm a little confused here, as I think that downloading a file would mean saving it onto the device...am I right? I'm very conscious about this, as I want to avoid downloading things.

By watching a movie, you are indeed downloading it. If you save it, you are still downloading it, but you can watch it at any time but not have to download it again as you already have it saved.
