i want to start a facebook for my product/store. do i sign up as if i were making one for a person?

I am starting an online store (http://www.myspace.com/freshgreentees) and want to make a facebook to advertise it. Do i sign it up like a person (name, sex, age... etc.) or is there something else i do? (something about "pages?")

Sign up as a person initially. Then you'll want to make a group. Here is where you can advertise your product/store. You're going to need to "invite" people to join your group though, so perhaps placing that link on your myspace page or any other pages you may have will create more traffic and views for you. Then people searching facebook for your product/store will fall upon the group you created.

Definitely make a Page. Create a Facebook account first for yourself, then make a Page. Here's a link to create one:

Pages are great for products or stores. When people become "fans" of your page, the icon will show on their profile and hopefully their friends will in turn visit your Page.

Do you already have a profile at facebook? I think the second link is the ADS & PAGES you have been looking for on facebook. It is what users make shops with and the second link is an additional add-on for that page you will make soon.
