And what is the correct way to write it. And also tell that what is the use of <meta name="Googlebot" content="index,follow" /> and <meta name="robots" content="index,follow" />, does it good to mention this code in the head section of your webpage to get the good ranking in google and other search engine? Please explain what is this all about?

I am not great at tags.

NOODP = No Open Directory Project
Google sometimes consults the human reviewed directory dmoz.org, for site info, the No tag says don't consult it.

NOYDR = No Yahoo Directory reference

An old How To guide:

Those tags are rarely used.

I did not know there was an actual "index,follow"
It may be the same effect as the absense of the "index,nofollow" used to discourage backlink spammers, by providing no search rank payoff.

1,. Meta Name NOODP is used to to tell search engines not pick description and Title from your listing at dmoz.org This meta will be written as <meta name=”robots” content=”noodp”>.

2. And Same for NOYDR is to tell robots not pick snippets from Yahoo directory and tag is

<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOYDIR>

You can combine both as

<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOYDIR,NOODP">.

3. <meta name="Googlebot" content="index,follow" /> This tells Google bot to index this page and follow all the links on the page.

4. <meta name="robots" content="index,follow" /> This tells all robots have to index this page and follow all the links

5. <meta name="Googlebot" content="index,follow" /> and <meta name="robots" content="index,follow" /> These tags are not useful these days as by default all crawlers are able to index pages.

NOODP and NOYDIR Meta tags give you more control over the descriptions of your site that appear in search engines. Sometimes search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN use Open Directory Project (ODP or DMOZ) to generate the description (snippets) that appear in the search results page.

As the web is fluid is ever changing there are chances that Webmaster would like to change or update the descriptions of their websites at regular intervals. To do this and stop search engines from generating site descriptions from ODP or Yahoo Directory we use the NOODP and NOYDR Tags.
