Sharing internet connection causes it to move slow?

I'm trying to play a internet game but it keeps lagging and moving slow. 3 other persons are using the Internet connection as well right now. When it's only 2/3 on the connection it moves faster.

Obviously. You all are using a single internet connection and you cannot expect to have the highest performance when other are too using it. If you really want to play internet games, make sure no one else is using the connection. Otherwise, you'll experience the same. However, if possible, get a internet connection with a higher bandwidth.
