Why do my craigslist ads keep getting flagged?

The posts don't contain anything that really violate the terms of use. They are just normal items like exercise equipment. But nearly every time I post up an ad it gets flagged. How can I prevent this from happening?

The Craigslist community, is just that; a community. And in every community there are a few grumpy old men, who feel it’s their duty to keep everyone in line. And in the Craigslist community anyone, at any time, can flag an ad for any reason. Sometimes these reasons are valid, sometimes they are questionable and sometimes they are just ridiculous.

So, the first thing you need to know is that Flagging is not done by Craig or anyone on the staff at Craigslist. Flagging is done by other users of Craigslist.

Either someone has decided that you are selling fake items, or they are selling fake items and they think you are a competitor.

On eBay of you try to sell fake items, and the Chinese vendors see your items, they will report you do eliminate competition. They sort of run things like a mafia.

Anyway I am not saying you are selling fake. Someone else thinks it is.
