What are some good Facebook promotions?
I finally got talked into starting a Facebook page for my business and was wonderring about some promotions to do. I am fairly new to Facebook and so far have only used it to show some new products, basically a picture and a discription. Any ideas, help or comments are welcome.

1. How can I go about getting more people to "like" my page?

2. What are some good promotions you have seen ran by other business's or your own.

3. Any other ideas?

A little background:
My business is a smaller sporting goods store specializing in Firearms and hunting supplies. My current market is local in an area of less than 25,000 people. My sales are right around $500,000/year and climbing about 10% over the last 4 years so I am expanding and keep looking for ways to expand further.

I greatly appreciate any help.

Hi, i run a small business in the uk providing innovative outdoor advertising campaigns, last year i wanted to build a presence on Facebook and use it to promote traffic to my site to get more sales, heres what i did and what could work for you too:
1. The easiest way to grow likes on your fanpage is to set up a facebook pay per click campaign, to promote your business. Its a really simple process and its easy to target people by interest and location. Also a great tip is to search for other fanpages on facebook that are similar to yours and then target those people who like them in your ppc campaign
2. Go to http://www.wildfireapps.com and set up a giveaway promotion. Its really simple and easy to do and the best part about it is it will link up to your facebook fan page and also compile the names and email addresses of the people who enter your prize giveaway so you can market to them in the future.
