What are some legitimate ways to make an extra $1000?
I have a full time job that requires me to be out of town at different times during the year. So having a 20 hour a week second job wouldn't really work because my full time job schedule isn't consistent. I am wondering what other legitimate ways are there to bring home an extra $1000?

$1000 for 20 hrs, or 20x4 hrs?

At least you could do many of the work on the internet jobs on breaks while your out of town. But making $50 an hour would call for some masterful business craft.

You can find blog article writing tasks paying around $3 an article, some work from a template, finishing an article in 10 minutes, (more like an hour for) elance.com, odesk.com, freelancer.com are marketplaces where you can bid on writing or design, programming jobs. Constant-content.com, textbroker.com and thecontentauthority.com are article brokers that save the bid hassles.

While most peole trying to do affiliate marketing on the internet never make significant money, some with sales experience and solid business discipline can build up a business that earns some decent money. Don't get too encouraged by the endless how to courses that claim massive earnings, lots of marketing rookies hang out at Warriorforum.com which has a WSO section where relatively cheap member written tutorials can be found.

You can try your hand at SEO and getting money from blogging. There is also the possibility of using sites like Elance and Odesk.
