Blogging on facebook!? Yay or nay?

What do you think of people who use facebook to blog to there friends and family, like the new top they just bought or the sign of where they are, the coffee they're about to drink!?

I don't see anything wrong with it in all honesty! But I feel if I started blogging no one would bother commenting! Tell me what you think! Advertise your facebook?
