Does instagram use alot of dataloding?

Hi I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 i don't have a wifi plan. I use the internet at home to connect to my phone. Im planning to buy this app from the goople play store since it is free. Will it charge me to had this app? And is it bad for the space and dataloding? Thanksss

It will use 10 mb (magabites) that really isn't a lot but it depends on how much data you are signed up for say if you have 2gb then that's fine but if you have like 250 mb then the download will take a big chuck of your data for that month
