How can I find connections in marketing/business?

I have done some research so I'm just looking for some "additional" ways of finding connections.

I was looking to meet and collaborate with others who do online marketing or run websites, can anyone add to the below?

- Use meetup.com
- Attend seminars.
- Post of local forums.
- Search for local marketers on Google/Yahoo.
- Attend some short course on the subject.

Really appreciate any tips on better ways, thanks.

Lots of bizop, money making forums will have marketing sections

Well for starters you need to have a linkedin account.
Then there are forums where you can connect with other business people. There are forums like warrior forrum, business advise forum, digital point forum.
