So there was this girl from college a good 3 years back. Though we never spoke, i felt we had a little connection, we held eye contact and smiled at each other often. We only had one mutual friend and thats how i got her name. (I realise that i should of added her back then) So, would it be wierd to add her and what should i say? Or should i just message her without the add?

You can poke her if that option is available in her profile. If she pokes you back then you can send her a friend request & then there is a probability of acceptance of your request. Then you should chat.
