Teacher/Student privacy issue.?
Okay, my friend is going through some trouble at school. I'm just curious to know a few things...
1. Are students and teachers allowed to be friends on facebook? 2. If a student and a teacher are not friends, are they allowed to attempt to view each others profiles a) without permission b) by going on someone else's account? 3. If a student has their profile set to private, does not have a teacher as a friend on facebook, and still the teacher manages to view their page, is this a violation of privacy? 4. Is a student allowed to be punished by a school for something that appears on facebook? Any help you can give would be so greatly appreciated. Ads |

1. they are allowed but depends on the teacher, if the actual teacher will allow it
2. and they are allowed but depends on the privacy settings 3. and no, just means that dyou didnt havnt your settings right 4. and no basically for all ur answers there is no connection well should be no connection between school and facebook if you want to add a teacher as a friend, that should be business outside of school simply school has no influence on facebook or whatever you are free to do whatever ytou want to do Ads |

Schools are being held responsible and sometimes being sued because of bullying done by their students on and OFF campus. Because of this in many cases teachers are allowed to look at the Facebook of students at their school. If something is found that in the least way indicates your being unkind or minor bullying, you can be punished by the school.
