What does it mean when someone says this?

I was having a convo on facebook with someone and they said that I looked like this model in my profile pic.. Whom he is obsessed with.. And I also think she is quiet pretty and is a very popular model. So I replied with a "thanks il take that as a compliment" to then he replied "somewhat yes" I know what somewhat means, but I'm not sure the way I'm supposed to take it in this context.. Is he saying he agrees a little bit that it is a compliment.. Is that a good thing or should I ignore it because he means it in a bad way.. As in his being a smart a*s..?
