Why is it possible to see who is looking at your profile on facebook?
Facebook says there isn't but people have found a way. I think that it is creepy to know who is looking at your profile.
I know the apps don't work.

From Facebook:

Can people tell that I've looked at their Timeline?

No, Facebook doesn't let people track who views their Timeline. Third-party apps also can't provide this functionality.

If you come across an app that claims to offer this ability, please report the app.

The chinese version of facebook (renren.com/xiao nei) shows publicly who looked at your profile, it is on your main page. It is unnecessarily pervasive, and I really do not need to be knowing who looks at my profile or if there is one person in particular that is always the most recent viewer.

facebook has always maintained you cannot do this, and other apps I have never heard of that worked.
